The BCM Caribe shipping line, through its 4 ships: Sambee, Atenea, Flores Betancourt and Mona II, strengthen the connections of Progreso with the Caribbean Islands and Central America.

It regularly carries out imports and exports with the neighboring island of Cuba, since 2005, now officialy announcing its charter service with Panama, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos in the Caribbean, as well as with Guatemala and Honduras in Central America.

The capacity of the ship varies between 3,000 and 500 tonns, adapting to the necessities of the clients with regards to the volume of the imports and exports.
