On September 13th, 2006, at 12:00 hrs., at the Port of Progreso facilities was signed the Coalboration Agreement between the Honorable Town Government of the Municipality of San Felipe and the Integral Port Management of Progreso, Inc., for supporting the fishing community of San Felipe.

The Integral Port Management of Progreso, Inc., will carry out the reconstruction works of the fishing dock number 1 East, in the Municipality of San Felipe, which currently is not working due to the deterioration caused by the hurricanes in the area.

With the reconstruction of this fishing dock, the fishing activities in this area will be boosted, thus benefiting 600 fishermen that live in the Municipality of San Felipe, as well as the inhabitants and tourists.
