With an investment of over 15.7 million mexican pesos, the Port of Progreso has a new fiscal warehouse.

The Fiscal Warehouse has a total area of 3,525 square meters, which include:

• Maneuvering patio.
• Platfoms for loading and unloading of the cargo.
• Administrative offices.
• Isolated areas.
• Closed circuit video cameras and audio for control purposes.
• Security and surveillance.
• Fire alarm system.
• Hydraulic, electric and sanitary facilities (the last including a plant for sewage waters treatment).


Physical work:

The physical work was done with materials of the region: Walls made with hollow bricks, concrete and structural steel structure, plate roofings, the maneuvering yard and the parking area made with asphalt concrete, fire alarm systems, security and surveilance, structured wiring and hydraulic, electric and sanitary facilities.


Benefits:

To improve the conditions in the cargo loading and unloading processes, in the handling and classification of the merchandise, separation of the different areas, administrative areas, traffic safety, a safe building, security and surveilance facilities.
